Power is obtained through influence. If you can change what people think, you can change what they do. You can start making things how you want them. If you can get people to agree with you, you have power. In order to get people to agree with you and to gain that power you have to be the role model they are looking for. Lots of people have a role model in their life, or even multiple. For most people it tends to be their family or famous people such as musicians, comedians or even professional sports players. So lots of times looking up to people and following in their footsteps can lead to them getting a good or bad reputation but either way it still gives them power through their influence on yourself. You wear what they wear, you do what they do. They become more well known and get more power because their reputation is spreading. Also, there are many times that people who are doing good things get recognition for their actions and that makes others want to give them more power. Another example of how power is gained through influence is that everyone growing up knows that in school that the teacher is the boss and the kids give them power because the kids are influenced by other adults to listen and give respect to these grownups. Influence also powers a nation’s impact on nations or religions. Lots of religions are based off a main one, such as Christianity. People around the world look at Christianity and think, “Well I want to believe in that but I also don’t believe in some of the things said about Christianity.” So then they find a religion like that, but different. Lots of countries in Europe have based their religion off of Christianity. So that’s how we believe you obtain power. We think you obtain it through influence.
